Automatic doors fitted and serviced by Suffolk Fire and Security. We install safe doors to minimize the risk of crushing, impact, shearing and drawing in. We are based in Stowmarket, Suffolk
Why have Automatic doors?
Automatic doors make passage through buildings easier for people that would otherwise find it hard to get around. Auto Doors are very helpful in places with high footfall. Places such as hospitals, shopping centres, office blocks and homes for the elderly and disabled all benefit
Automatic doors also help lower the spread of bacteria and germs as a fully automated door does not need to be touched.
Who benefits?
Automatic doors make entry and exit easy. For example, they benefit the disabled, elderly, infirm, as well as pushchair users.
What doors can be automatic?
Automatic door openers can be fitted to existing doors. For instance, we can upgrade wooden, metal and PVC doors
Swing doors, sliding doors and folding doors can be automated
We update both external and internal doors.
How do they work?
Quite simply, automatic doors use a motor to perform the open and close cycle of a door. When activated the motor pushes or pulls the arm, or moves a track to make the door open and close.
Options for activating the doors include:
Radars – Doors Open when somebody approaches the door
Push pads – When pushed will open the door
Wireless key fobs – When pressed will open the door
Pressure Mats – When stood on will open the door
Access Control Integration – A swipe of a valid card or entry of a code from an access control system will trigger the auto door cycle.
Safety devices include:
Finger guards – Stop entrapment and crushing of fingers in the door hinge
Infra-red sensors – Fitted on the door leaf – senses an object in the line of the door. Stops the door from impacting the object
Safety Edges – A rubber strip on the door – when touched, the door stops or reverses the direction of travel
Force testing – We force test all doors – to ensure they do not exceed the allowed levels.
